Operates a teller window by providing prompt, efficient and accurate customer service, representing the Bank in a courteous, professional manner, alert to customer needs and willing to cross-sell or refer the customer to the appropriate staff.  Employee also serves as back-up Personal Banker for the Branch and is responsible for opening new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, cross-selling bank products and services, and providing quality customer service to further customer relations.

  Essential Functions:

  • Meet and greet customers
  • Accept deposits, verify cash and endorsements, and issue receipts
  • Cash checks
  • Process  credit card advances
  • Process night deposit bags
  • Process mail-in deposits
  • Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds
  • Issue bank checks and traveler's checks
  • Accept loan payments and safe deposit box rental payments
  • Admit customers to safe deposit boxes
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide balance information
  • Balance transactions at end of day and verify cash totals
  • Open and process new accounts, including Checking, Money Market, Savings, Certificates of Deposit, IRAs, ATM/Debit Cards, Safe Deposit Boxes
  • Cross-sell the bank's services and products
  • Research and verify account information, answer customer inquiries, quote products and rates.
  • Assist in answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel
  • Resolve customer complaints and inquiries regarding a variety of issues, requests and discrepancies related to account balances, monthly statements, check holds, overdrafts, service charges, online banking, Bill Pay, etc.
  • Employee is responsible for complying with the Bank's BSA/AML and OFAC Compliance and Consumer Compliance policies and procedures relevant to their responsibilities. If the employee is not certain of what the specific instance calls for, the employee will consult the respective policy and will contact their manager, BSA Officer and/or the Corporate Compliance Officer with additional questions.

 Requirements:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year banking experience, CSR or Teller, preferred
  • Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in cash handling required
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, energetic, self-starter
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and possess excellent customer relation skills
  • Must be able to work both independently as well as in a team environment

Hours:

  •  Monday and Wednesday 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., to include the business day following Federal holidays and to cover vacation and PTO leave.  Rotating Saturday schedule 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
